ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Hey friends! Welcome to Girls’ Night!
Our guest for today’s episode is a Girls Night favorite and my dear friend, Mariko Clark, or Marri as we call her.
Friends, I am SO excited because I finally get to share that Marri has been writing an amazing book called The Book of Belonging and I knew we needed to have her on the show to tell us all about it!
The Book of Belonging is a story Bible for kids that’s filled with 30 diverse stories and illustrations that introduce kids to God through wonder, naming and contemplation. Amazing right? She’s going to tell you way more about it in the episode, but I do want to mention that her Kickstarter to raise funds in order to publish the book started last week, and if you’re interested in supporting her, we have all of the links for you at the bottom of this page if you keep scrolling down!
So, this technically is a book for kids, but really, it’s a book for all of us, and it’s an incredible resource for any of us who are feeling a bit lost in our faith.
That’s what we’re talking about today.
In this episode, we’re going to be talking through what to do when your faith no longer feels like it used to. I don’t know about you, but sometimes the faith we were taught growing up or the faith we picked up ourselves doesn’t feel quite the way it used to. Also — I think a lot of us are feeling that it’s really a hard time to be a Christian right now. We find ourselves having more questions than answers and are wondering if there’s still a place for us in the midst of what feels like a really messy spot to be.
Y’all, both Marri and I have BEEN there. You’re not alone and that’s why I’m so excited to be talking through this! Marri is one of the wisest women I know -- her insight on this topic is going to blow you away.
