ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Hey friends! Welcome to Girls’ Night!
I’m so excited about today’s episode. Today we’re talking about how to make your rental house (or apartment or dorm room) feel like a home.
I’m excited about this episode because while many of us want to create a space that feels warm and welcoming, we don’t always know where to start. Most of us start on Pinterest, but the images on there are so styled, so perfect, it can leave us feeling overwhelmed and intimidated instead of inspired. Especially if you live in a small space, a space you’re renting (so you can’t exactly rip down walls to create a great open floor plan), and when you’re working on a tight budget — the idea of making our space our own starts to feel way too hard to actually do.
But that’s why I’m SO EXCITED about today’s episode.
Our guest for today’s episode is Myquillyn Smith, also known as The Nester. Myquillyn is an author and a lover of all things home. She helps us create cozy, inviting spaces that feel like home no matter what season of life we’re in. She also has a new book called, Welcome Home: A Cozy Minimalist Guide to Decorating and Hosting All Year Round, and is going to give us some tips for seasonal decorating that are just awesome.
