ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Hey friends! Welcome to Girls’ Night!

Today on the show, I’m sharing one of my favorite conversations we’ve ever had on Girls Night. It’s a conversation I had back in Season 1 with my amazing friend, Hanna Seymour, and in it, we’re talking all about… get ready for it… sex.

Sex is such an important part of our marriages, and it’s something we RARELY talk about as girlfriends, but Hanna and I think we need to talk about it more. We need the chance to ask questions, to get advice and encouragement from girls who love Jesus and love their husbands and who are figuring this out too. And that’s what this episode is all about.

When we first recorded this episode, I was telling a friend about it after, and I described it to her as, “All the things you wish your big sister had told you about sex as you were getting married.”

We’ll be talking through questions like: What if you don’t want to have sex as much as you thought you would, or should you be wearing lingerie every time? What do you do if sex is awkward, or even hurts? How do you get better at sex? How do you get yourself (or him) in the mood? How often should you be having sex? And so much more.

I’m telling you, this is girls’ night to the max.

This conversation has been so healing and helpful and encouraging for me, and for Hanna, and for so many of my girlfriends. I know it will be for you too.

Now, just a disclaimer: This episode is specifically geared towards sex in the context of marriage, which I know leaves some people out.

But, here’s what I want to say about that.

1. You don’t have to be married to join us for this conversation. I think it’ll be helpful, and encouraging, and beneficial either way.

2. Head over to our Girls Night Podcast website (It’s GirlsNightPodcast.com) and look for episode #97. The episode is “Girls Night #97: How to Navigate your Sex Drive as a Single Christian Woman” and it’s SUCH a good one. I’d really love to share the episode with you!
